The best singer-songwriter in the Netherlands, in short, De Beste singer-songwriter (DBSSW), was a Dutch tv program of the VARA and BNN, in collaboration with radio station NPO 3FM, in which NPO 3FM-DJ Giel Beelen searches for Dutch singer-songwriter talent. The first season was broadcasted in 2012. The fourth season started in March 2015. On March 7, 2016, Giel Beelen announced he would not make any new seasons of the program. For me it was one of the loveliest projects of the year, the producers of BlazHoffski tend to hire the best people they can find, without losing sight of the fact that everyone has to be able to work together as well.
