At MBC studios, Beirut, Lebanon we did three tours of Arab Idol. It usually takes just a few days of preparing and several weeks of on-site supervision before a deliverable set can be produced. This is primarily due to the availability of materials, and subsequently, the inevitable on-site design changes. Then there's the mere fact that for the most part, these sets are being custom made, meaning there's little or no preparation at the factory, most of it will be built from the ground up at the studio. At times this will make construction a challenge, to say the least, but at the same time, most of the fun happens when things go haywire...
